Welcome back to all the children. it was lovely to see them all coming in refreshed after the Easter Holidays. We're hoping that the lovely weather we had over Easter will carry on this term as we have lots of lovely outdoor activities planned.
Well done to all the children for their fabulous costumes on Friday. Sorry if we didn't manage to get through all the books that they brought in - it was a really busy day! Thank you also for all your kind donations of books. I know they will be gratefully received in Uganda.
Thanks to everyone who has brought in their permission slip and payment for our trip on Tuesday. Sorry if it was a bit last minute...but the opportunity was too good to miss. We'll be able to find out lots of plant and garden facts to help kickstart our Term's topic which is 'All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small'. Check the blog for photos of what we get up to.
Congratulations to Poppy Dixon for being our first Seren Yr Wythnos winner.
Finally it's time to redo our classroom to fit in with our new theme. We're looking for any white shirts and glasses that you may have spare - they'll be used to make our Investigation Area as authentic as possible! We have already begun to set up our 'Eat and Play' cafe (great name Oliver!) and the children are really enjoying playing customers and cafe owners. However we are a bit low on props so if you have any empty ice cream boxes or anything else that could go in our cafe, I know that the children will appreciate them.
A couple of photos of Friday to finish.
See you tomorrow
